HL High TDS (300 – 9,000 GPD)

HL-Series RO Systems for High TDS Feed Water

AMI Small Commercial Reverse Osmosis Systems for High TDS Feed Water

  • 300 to 9,000 Gallons/Day Reverse Osmosis Systems
  • For Feed Water TDS 1,000 to 5,000 PPM

Designed to produce low dissolved solids water from higher TDS tap or well water, these Small Commercial RO systems use high-efficiency, thin film reverse osmosis membranes and FRP membrane housings.

The RO product water is ideal for water stores, whole house use, ice makers, humidification, misting, and many other applications.

Part of the L-series family (alongside L and XL systems), these complete high-TDS RO systems use corrosion-resistant materials in all high-pressure lines and components. They operate between 200 and 250 psi, with careful design steps taken to handle brackish water's corrosive nature.

These systems are built on a powder-coated metal frame using proven, reliable components. Design improvements from years of experience help optimize membrane life and reduce fouling.

Notes and Voltage/ Ordering Information

  • All dimensions and weights are approximate.
  • Capacity Basis: 24 hrs/day
  • Systems rated at: 77°F (25°C) using 1000 to 5000 ppm sodium chloride solution operating at approx. 200-225 psi pressure.
  • Minimum feed pressure to RO System: 40-60 PSI. System capacity changes significantly with water temperature
  • Chlorine must be removed with a carbon filter prior to the RO system, if present in feed water.
  • Pretreatment for water hardness using a softener or antiscalant injection should be added to avoid scaling the membranes.
  • Feed water turbidity: Less than 1 NTU; Feed water silt density index (SDI): 3 maximum. If exceeded, pretreatment with media filter recommended. All pretreatment equipment and SDI test kits are available from Applied Membranes.
  • Voltage: Please add our voltage codes to the end of the model number when ordering.
    Example: HL-12521-116 = 110v, 1 ph, 60 hz.
  • Voltage Codes:
  • 116 = 110v, 1ph, 60hz (up to L-24A only)
  • 216 = 220/230v, 1ph, 60hz
  • 215 = 220/230v, 1ph, 50hz
  • Three Phase Not Available

Recommended Optional Pre-Treatment Equipment

  • Carbon filter
  • Water Softener
  • Multi-media filter
  • Antiscalant Injection
