Slightly Acidic Electrolyzed Water (SAEW) Generator or hypochlorous acid generator is an electrochemical device designed to produce acidic electrolyzed water, a highly effective, eco-friendly disinfectant and cleaning agent.
In the treatment of medical wastewater, the core function of such equipment is to process the pollutants in the medical wastewater through the generated SAEW. Medical wastewater contains a large number of pathogenic microorganisms (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.), organic matter and some chemical residues. If not treated properly, it can easily cause public health risks. The hypochlorous acid and other components in SAEW can achieve efficient sterilization by destroying the cell membrane structure and protein molecules of pathogenic microorganisms.
The decomposition products are water and trace amounts of chloride, and no carcinogenic trihalomethanes (THMs) are generated (a pain point of traditional chlorine disinfection).
pH 5.0-6.5 is close to neutral, and its corrosiveness to pipelines and equipment is much lower than that of strong acidic disinfectants (such as chlorine dioxide).
Production is carried out on-site as needed, avoiding the transportation and storage hazards of hazardous chemicals (such as liquid chlorine).
